MyRiga — Privacy Policy

MyRiga ("we", "the app") is a city marketplace for Riga (listings, places, news, chat, weather). This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address (via Firebase Authentication, including Google Sign-In).
• Content you create: listings, place reviews, photos, chat messages.
• Location: approximate device location, only when you allow it, to show nearby places and distances.
• Device data: push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and basic technical/diagnostic data.

2. How we use it

• To provide the app's features (showing listings/places, chat, reviews, notifications).
• To send notifications you opted into.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To improve the app via crash and diagnostic reports.

3. Services we use

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics) and Google Maps. These providers process data on our behalf. Boost purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your public content (listings, reviews, place info) is visible to other users. We share data only with the service providers above, or when required by law.

5. Your rights

You can edit your profile, delete your listings, and delete your account (Profile → Delete account), which removes your personal data. You may also contact us to request data access or deletion.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed; some content may be retained briefly in backups.

7. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13.
